He went on to attend a General Practice Residency program at the Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in New York City. There, he gained experience in one of the best clinical and research-driven dental programs in the nation. He continued his education at the second oldest dental school in the nation- Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, PA. Solomon Jacobs earned his Bachelor’s degree in biology at Georgia State University. Dillon is determined to take a proactive approach in becoming involved with the health and well being of the community.ĭr. Dillon is aware of the challenges our young children are facing with regard to health issues. With a personal approach to dentistry and a genuine concern for patients and the community in general, Dr. She was named "Thursday Morning Mom" from the Tom Joyner Morning Show in May of 1999. Dillon is the mother of a son and teenage daughter. In addition to previously mentioned credits, Dr. Dillon has also endeavored in missionary work with Greenforest Community Baptist Church, in 1997, 19, in which she provided dental service to the people in Haiti and Jamaica.
Dillon is looking to use her skills and talents in the field of dentistry to develop a community based service: The Dental Care Community Service Project.ĭr. As a result of the success with Gentle Family Dentistry P.C., Dr. Dillon set out to start her own practice and opened Gentle Family Dentistry P.C., in Stone Mountain, Georgia. In the two years that followed, she developed and perfected her skills in dentistry while serving as an associate dentist with several of her colleagues in the Atlanta area. Dillon became a board certified practicing dentist. Dillon received a Doctorate of Dental Surgery, (DDS), from Meharry Medical College, Nashville, TN. in Chemistry in 1986 from Southern University, Baton Rouge, LA. Betty Dillon is a native of Magnolia, Mississippi, and she received a B.S. He has received awards from Healthcare Georgia Foundation, Atlanta Business Chronicle, and the Georgia Dental Association.ĭr. He is clinical director of the Special Smiles program for Georgia's Special Olympics, co-chair for Georgia's Mission of Mercy, Editor of the Georgia Dental Association, and serves on the board of directors for the Ben Massell Dental Clinic, The Fisher Foundation for Dental Education, and The Hinman Dental Society. Dubin has faculty appointments at the Medical College of Georgia, the University of North Carolina, and NYU Langone Medical Center. Dubin has maintained membership in the American Dental Association, the Georgia Dental Association (Honorable Fellow), Northern District Dental Society, Hinman Dental Society (officer), Academy of General Dentistry (Fellow), International College of Dentistry (Fellow),American College of Dentists (Honorable fellow) and the Pierre Fauchard Academy (Fellow.)ĭr. Dubin is a member of the Academy of Laser Dentistry and achieved Category 2 status. Dubin resides in Atlanta with his wife, Traci, daughter, Mylee, and sons, Zachary and Seth.ĭr. Dubin has been practicing in Atlanta for over 23 years. Prior to studying at Dental School, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Biochemistry at the University of Georgia. Jonathan Dubin graduated from the Medical College of Georgia in 1983.
